A Prayer for a Summer’s Day
Dear Lord,
Thank You for the radiant warmth of the sun and the bright, stretched-out days of this summer season.
As the pace of life slows and the world blooms in rich colours, I pause to breathe in Your creation.
Thank You for the green trees, the singing birds, and the gentle breeze.
I am grateful for the laughter of loved ones, the joy of rest, and the quiet shade of Your presence.
On this beautiful summer day, teach me to see the wonder in ordinary moments.
Open my eyes to the needs of those around me who may be struggling with the intense heat or the burdens of relentless care.
Guide my steps, warm my soul with Your love, and refresh my mind, body, and spirit.
Amen.

FLOWERS IN CHURCH
There is a new Flower Rota on the wall in the kitchen. If you would like to place some flowers in church to mark a special Sunday, please enter your name on the appropriate date on the calendar.
If you are unable to actually go and buy those flowers and arrange them in church, then this can be done for you. Please speak to an Elder.
SHAW FOODBANK –
Is now independently run and not connected to Oldham Food Bank. It is run by Churches Together. We still need to support this movement as we usually do through our donations, which are very gratefully received.
FIRE DRILL
In the event of a fire will you please leave by the nearest safest exit and assemble outside the fencing on Kershaw Street or outside the gates on Rochdale Road.
