Shaw & Heyside URC celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee with a lunch on June 3rd. There was lots of chatter and singing enjoyed by all.
We also displayed a portrait that had been done originally for the Coronation in 1953.The portrait was crocheted by Brenda Sharples who is a member of our Church and lived in a small village called Cragg Vale in Yorkshire and as there wasn’t much to do, she saw a pattern in a magazine and got to work.
The image of the Queen is perfection.
