It’s Pantomime Time again. £20 per person, Tuesday 28th December. Put your name on the list on the notice board for this year’s trip to Blackpool, There for lunch, show, home for tea.
Sunday School will re-start on 12th September, with lots of wonderful and exciting things for our young and not so young to do. Let’s encourage them to come and join in the activities on Sunday mornings.
Ladies Fellowship resumes on Tuesday 14th September at 2pm with the AGM. Not been before? Then come along, give it a try. Interesting speakers and refreshments too.
Guides, Brownies and Rainbows Present A Celebration Party for Abigail Frechou – Sunday 19th Sept. 2-4pm. Abigail has gone through 2years of severe treatment for Ewing Sarcoma [bone cancer]. She has endured 14 rounds of chemo, 58 radiotherapy treatments, major hip surgery, and still she smiles, raising money for research into kinder treatment. The Celebration will be held on the church recreation ground, with a gazebo, stalls and a bar too. Donations of small individually wrapped sweets and chocolate are needed please.
MacMillan Coffee Morning – Saturday 25th September 10am to 12 noon. Do come along and support it. There will be stalls too. More information to follow.
Harvest Service is on 3rd October This will be followed by a Faith Lunch and, as this year we are thinking about ways to help save the planet, we are suggesting that the food we bring should have been produced locally or in this country. Donations of food items for Shaw Food Bank or cash for Water Aid would be welcomed.
