Coffee Morning at the British Legion
Items are needed for the tombola and raffle for our next British Legion Coffee Morning on Saturday 8th April. Home bake on the day please.
Heyside Service of Thanksgiving
At 3.00 pm on Sunday 7th May there will be a Service of Thanksgiving. This will be an opportunity to share memories, to offer our thanks, and to place our future firmly in God’s hands. You are warmly invited to come and share this special occasion with us and to stay afterwards to chat over a brew.
The final service at Heyside will be an ordinary service for the current fellowship on the following Sunday 14th May.
Big Days Out
In addition to the North West Synod’s Big Day Out as mentioned below, Central House Synod are also organising one on 20th May at Warwick Castle. See Hazel for more details.
The ever-popular Big Day Out organised by the North West
URC Synod, will be on Saturday 8th July, at the Southport Convention Centre. Tickets for adults are priced at £8 if booked before 17th
April, and £10 after. Those aged 16 and under are free. A poster and booking form are on the notice board. As always, it will be a great day!
There are still many blank spaces left on the Flower Rota. If you would like to provide flowers to remember a special date please put your name on the list at Shaw.
Used Postage Stamps
Pat Young is still collecting used postage stamps.
Events at the Salvation Army:
On Saturday 22nd April there will be a St. George’s Day Afternoon Tea, 3-5pm.
On Monday 24th April, 7.30, there will be a Ladies Rally; an evening of praise, music and fellowship, led by Major Susan Tansley. All are welcome to both events.
